Truly a wonder of the natural wild, thousands upon thousands of starlings migrate from Northern Europe and spend the winter months on Shapwick Heath and Ham Wall RSPB nature reserves. At dusk every evening they settle to roost in the reed beds on the levels and put on the most amazing display. You can also go at sunrise to see them take off.
